I’m really good at applying makeup, less so choosing the right color. I can never get my foundation shade right (ugh, undertones!), nor my lipstick, and I’m pretty sure my blush of choice isn’t making me look as alive as it should.
When I saw Vogue’s beauty shopping writer Concetta Ciarlo walk into the office after her trip to Saie HQ—sporting its Dew Blush in shade Cherie—I was inspired to ditch my mauves and dusty roses in favor of reds, oranges, and even purples. Let me tell you, it’s a whole new world. The beauty landscape at the moment is all about experimentation; let this be your sign to test a few things and see what sticks.
Boy oh boy, am I tired… and it shows. When working on Hailey Bieber’s Beauty Secrets last summer, her Kosas’s color corrector caught my eye—literally. It’s meant to brighten the delicate area underneath without looking unnaturally light thanks to a light pink hue that counteracts blue or green undertones. I’ve found it to also layer nicely over concealer—under the inner corners does the trick.
