Battery-electric registrations across 16 key European markets rose 54.2% year on year in August, reaching a 30.5% share of new registrations and running well ahead of earlier forecasts.
What happened
More than 1.67 million BEVs have been registered across those markets so far this year, up by a third. Germany reached a 32.5% share in August and France 38.3%.
